Hey There
I’m an Austin-born Texas native turned Florida sunshine seeker, a mom to twin girls, and the creator behind 'Britt Explains.' After getting my degree, I realized my real passion wasn't sitting in a clinical office—it was explaining health in a way that actually clicks. I’m obsessed with using visual aids and analogies to turn complex science into 'aha!' moments. As Dr. Mindy Pelz says, 'Confusion breeds inaction,' and I’m here to clear the fog so you can finally start feeling like yourself again.
All About Me
The truth is, I was inspired to start 'Britt Explains' because I was so frustrated by the sheer amount of health confusion out there. It felt like every 'expert' had a different rule, and it left me—and so many others—feeling paralyzed. That confusion is exactly what sparked me to start breaking things down. I wanted to take the science I had been nerding out on since I was 17 and explain it in a way that was actually easy to understand and, more importantly, easy to do.
My own journey started because I was just done with the fad diet cycle and the calorie-counting burnout. When I found this protocol four years ago, it was the first time the science actually matched my real life as a busy mom. It’s been my foundation ever since, helping me lose over 25 lbs and 16 inches, and giving me my life back after years of struggling with PCOS and endometriosis. Seeing my cycles regulate in just six weeks and watching the extreme cramping vanish was the proof I needed that simple nutrition works when you understand the 'why.'
That’s why I love what I do—whether I’m breaking things down live on social media or working with partners across the country to grow their own businesses. I chose a more personal career path because I wanted to see the impact firsthand. There is honestly nothing better than getting a text from someone saying they finally have their energy back.
When I’m not deep-diving into health research or listening to a podcast on my Kindle, I’m living the Florida life with my husband, Matt, and our girls. Matt’s been in the paramedicine world for 15 years, so health and helping people are basically our family business. Working from home means I get to be present for Disney trips, board games, and beach days. I’m so glad you’re here—let’s skip the confusion and get you some results.
